If you follow the instruction of mahātmā, devotee, then your path of liberation will open. And if you follow the path of sense gratification, tamo-dvāraṁ yoṣitāṁ saṅgi-saṅgam ([[Vanisource:SB 5.5.2|SB 5.5.2]]), then you are going to the darkness, or hell.
