- A devotee does not need to practice astanga-yoga in order to transfer his soul to the spiritual planets. The responsibility is taken by the Supreme Lord Himself. He clearly states here that He Himself becomes the deliverer. BG 1972 purports

- Beyond intelligence, they do not know what exists. But here in the Bhagavad-gita you can find this
- Bhagavad-gita has to be accepted as it is, from the disciplic succession, and it is described herein (BG 4.1) that the Lord spoke to the sun-god, the sun-god spoke to his son Manu, and Manu spoke to his son Iksvaku. BG 1972 purports
- Both Indra and Visnu are worshiped by yajna performances. But here (in BG 8.2) Arjuna asks who is actually the Lord of yajna (sacrifice), and how is the Lord residing within the body of the living entity. BG 1972 purports
- Brahmacarya, the descriptions are given here (in BG 7.11), how you can execute brahmacari life. You cannot think of sex life, you cannot talk of sex life, you cannot whisper about sex life. There are eight types of different regulation to stop sex life

- Everyone has to work for maintenance of his body and soul together, & Krsna recommends herein (BG 9.27) that one should work for Him. Everyone has to eat something to live; therefore he should accept the remnants of foodstuffs offered to Krsna. BG 1972 p

- First of all, He (Krsna) is purusa, spiritual, Rama and Krsna, and is described herein (BG 8.9) as kavim; that is, He knows past, present and future and therefore knows everything. BG 1972 purports
- For the impersonalists to get out of this temporary body, Krsna here (in BG 8.13) advises that they vibrate the syllable om. In this way they can be assured of transmigration into the spiritual world

- Here (in BG 1.15) on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra the Lord directly controls the transcendental senses of Arjuna, and thus His particular name of Hrsikesa. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 10.3) the word ajam, meaning unborn, should not be confused with the living entities, who are described in the Second Chapter as ajam. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 11.51) the words manusam rupam clearly indicate the Supreme Personality of Godhead to be originally two-handed. Those who deride Krsna to be an ordinary person are shown here to be ignorant of His divine nature. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 11.6) it is stated that humans have neither heard nor known of all these forms and manifestations. Now Krsna reveals these wonderful forms. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 15.8) the living entity is described as isvara, the controller of his own body. If he likes, he can change his body to a higher grade, and if he likes he can move to a lower class. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 18.63) Lord Krsna telIs Arjuna that he can do as he chooses. God does not interfere with the little independence of the living entity. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 5.10) brahmani means in Krsna consciousness. The material world is a sum total manifestation of the three modes of material nature, technically called the pradhana. BG 1972 purports
- Here (in BG 7.10) again it is explicitly stated that Krsna is the life of all that lives. Thus at every step we can see God

- Here (in Bhagavad-gita) the Lord instructs us in buddhi-yoga. Buddhi-yoga means that we have full consciousness that we are not this body; and if I act with this understanding, then I am not body - I am consciousness. That is a fact

- If we are at all interested in reaching that supreme abode, the process, as indicated here (in BG 8.22), is bhakti. Bhaktya means devotional service, submission to the Supreme Lord. The root word for bhaktya is bhaj, which means - service
- If you want to know Krsna, then here is Bhagavad-gita, spoken by Krsna Himself. You just try to understand and you learn Krsna. Or you learn confirmation
- In the Vedic system, prasada is distributed, as recommended here (in SB 8.16.55), without discrimination as to who may take the prasada

- It is said here (in BG 9.2) that this devotional service is eternally existing. It is not as the Mayavadi philosophers claim. BG 1972 purports

- Krsna appeared primarily to deliver Devaki, rather than kill Kamsa, but both were performed simultaneously. Therefore it is said here (in BG 4.8) that to deliver the devotee & vanquish the demons, God appears in different incarnations. BG 1972 purports
- Krsna herein (BG 9.20) declares Himself to be the ultimate goal for the tri-vedis. BG 1972 purports
- Krsna is here (in BG 8.27) advising Arjuna that he should not be disturbed by the different paths the soul can take when leaving the material world. BG 1972 purports

- Nobody can say that we are completely different from God, and nobody can say we are completely one with God. We are both, one and different. These things are to be understood analytically like this, as it is explained here - in BG 10.3
- Nobody can understand Bhagavad-gita unless he is a devotee of Lord Krsna. That is the first qualification. It is clearly said here (in BG 04.01). You cannot go beyond Bhagavad-gita
- Now (here in BG 18.66), in summarizing BG, the Lord says that Arjuna should give up all the processes that have been explained to him; he should simply surrender to Krsna. That surrender will save him from all kinds of sinful reactions. BG 1972 purports

- People are very much anxious to live in peace and prosperity in this material world, and here in Bhagavad-gita (BG 5.29) the peace formula is given personally by the Supreme Personality of Godhead
- Perfect knowledge of self and Superself and of their relationship is compared herein (BG 4.37) to fire. This fire not only burns up all reactions to impious activities, but also all reactions to pious activities, turning them to ashes. BG 1972 purports
- Persons who are in full Krsna consciousness, engaged in devotional service to the Lord, are called bhakti-yogis. Now, here (in BG 12.5) the difference between jnana-yoga and bhakti-yoga is definitely expressed. BG 1972 purports

- Should a sannyasi, who is in the renounced order of life and who has given up his family relations, encourage the marriage ceremony? The Lord says here (in BG 18.5) that any sacrifice which is meant for human welfare should never be given up. BG 1972 pur
- Sometimes unscrupulous commentators distort the meaning of what is clearly stated here (in BG 9.34): that all devotional service should be offered to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- Such knowledge (that God is money, and knowledge means the satisfaction of bodily demands) is described here (in BG 18.22) as the product of the mode of darkness. BG 1972 purports
- Such things (atomic weapons) are created solely for the destruction of the world, & this is indicated here (in BG 16.9). Due to godlessness, such weapons are invented in human society; they aren't meant for the peace & prosperity of the world. BG 1972 p

- The beginning of demoniac life is described herein (BG 16.21). One tries to satisfy his lust, and when he cannot, anger and greed arise. BG 1972 purports
- The demoniac are engaged in activities that will lead the world to destruction. The Lord states here (in BG 16.9) that they are less intelligent. BG 1972 purports
- The demoniac mentality is described here (in BG 16.10). The demons' lust is never satiated. They will go on increasing and increasing their insatiable desires for material enjoyment. BG 1972 purports
- The description of that place whence going no one returns to this false reflected tree is given here (in BG 15.3-4). BG 1972 purports
- The description of the banyan tree is further explained here (in BG 15.2). Its branches are spread in all directions. BG 1972 purports
- The entanglement of this material world is compared here (in BG 15.1) to a banyan tree. For one who is engaged in fruitive activities, there is no end to the banyan tree. He wanders from one branch to another, to another, to another. BG 1972 purports
- The explanation of the Supreme Self, as given to Brahma and already explained in the Second Canto of this great literature, is further clarified herein - SB 3.4.13
- The general tendency is to offer sacrifice with some purpose in mind, but here (BG 17.11) it is stated that sacrifice should be performed without any such desire. It should be done as a matter of duty. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord explains (here in BG 4.6) His prakrti or His form. Prakrti means nature as well as svarupa, or one's own form. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord has confirmed herein (BG 6.46) the superiority of yoga, but He has not mentioned that it is better than bhakti-yoga. Bhakti-yoga is full spiritual knowledge, and as such, nothing can excel it. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord has spoken (here in BG 4.6) about the peculiarity of His birth. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord here (in BG 18.40) summarizes the total influence of the three modes of material nature all over the universe. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord in His incarnation as Vyasadeva compiled the Vedanta-sutra. Here (in BG 15.16) the Lord is giving, in summary, the contents of the Vedanta-sutra. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord is addressed here (in BG 11.39) as air because the air is the most important representation of all the demigods, being all-pervasive. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord is here (in BG 9.29) stated to be partial to the devotees. This is the manifestation of the Lord's special mercy to the devotees. BG 1972 purports
- The Lord says here (in BG 9.29) distinctly, "mayi te," "in Me." Naturally, as a result, the Lord is also in them (who are situated in Him). This is reciprocal. This also explains the words: asti na priyah/ye bhajanti. BG 1972 purports
- The lowest quality, the mode of ignorance, is described here (in BG 14.18) as abominable. The result of developing ignorance is very, very risky. It is the lowest quality in material nature. BG 1972 purports
- The mahatma cannot be manufactured by rubber-stamping an ordinary man. His symptoms are described here (in BG 9.14): a mahatma is always engaged in chanting the glories of the Supreme Lord Krsna, the Personality of Godhead. BG 1972 purports
- The materially absorbed conditioned soul can be cured by Krsna consciousness as set forth here in the Gita. This process is generally known as yajna

- The result is that, without their (demoniac men's) knowledge, they are gliding toward hell. Here (in BG 16.16) the Sanskrit word mohajala is very significant. Jala means net; like fishes caught in a net, they have no way to come out. BG 1972 purports
- The simile used here (in BG 6.34) is appropriate: one cannot capture the blowing wind. And it is even more difficult to capture the turbulent mind. BG 1972 purports
- The solution to these problems (birth, old age, disease, and death) is given here in Bhagavad-gita (8.15): if one attains to Krsna's platform he does not have to return again to this earth of birth and death
- The summary of Vedic knowledge is here in the Bhagavad-gita, because here God directly is instructing about Himself. Therefore it is the essence of all Vedic knowledge

- The word tamasah is very significant here (in BG 14.18). Tamasah indicates those who stay continually in the mode of ignorance without rising to a higher mode. Their future is very dark. BG 1972 purports
- The word tejah used here (in BG 16.1-3) is meant for the ksatriyas. BG 1972 purports
- The word tu is specifically used here (in BG 11.54) to indicate that no other process can be used, can be recommended, or can be successful in understanding Krsna. BG 1972 purports
- The words paramam mama are very important here (in BG 15.6). Actually every nook and corner is the property of the Supreme Lord, but the spiritual world is paramam, full of six opulences. BG 1972 purports
- The yoga system conceived by Patanjali is referred to herein (BG 4.27). In the Yoga-sutra of Patanjali, the soul is called pratyag-atma and parag-atma. BG 1972 purports
- This is confirmed in Bhagavad-gita and here in the Srimad-Bhagavatam. That third-class devotees can also imperceptibly achieve liberation is accepted in all Vedic literatures

- We often wonder how these big planets are floating in the air. It is stated here (in BG 8.9) that the Supreme Lord, by His inconceivable energy, is sustaining all these big planets and systems of galaxies. BG 1972 purports
