- A paramahamsa accepts only the active principle of everything; just as a swan accepts only the milk from a mixture of water & milk, he accepts only the Supreme Personality of Godhead as his life and soul, neglecting all external, material things

- The pastimes of Krsna are the essence of all nectar, and that nectar is flowing in hundreds of rivers in all directions. The pastimes of Caitanya are an eternal reservoir, and one is advised to let his mind swim like a swan on this transcendental lake
- The reestablishment of dharma will gradually turn crows into swans. For example, a man may be illiterate and uncultured, but he can be converted into an educated, cultured man by training

- Worldly literatures are like places where crows take pleasure. In the bird society, there are crows and swans, and crows are interested in places where filthy things are thrown
