- A beautiful woman is certainly a cause of material happiness for one who possesses her as a wife, but the same woman is a cause of distress to a man whom she rejects or who is the cause of her anger & if she leaves a man she becomes the cause of illusion
- A covered road is exactly like a brahmana who is not accustomed to studying and practicing the reformatory practices of Vedic injunctions-he becomes covered with the long grasses of illusion

- Divided into varieties by her threefold modes, material nature creates the forms of the living entities, and the living entities, seeing this, are illusioned by the knowledge - covering feature of the illusory energy

- Sridhara Swami said in his verse, "Let them loiter in the darkness of ignorance and illusion, falsely enjoying as if very learned scholars, although they are without knowledge of the Supreme Personality of Godhead"

- The whole scheme of Vedic wisdom is targeted to the aim of eradicating such a misconception (the living being being different from the Lord) and thus liberating the living being from the illusion of material identification
- The word avidhi-purvakam, meaning disregard for the rules and regulations, is especially stressed here (in BG 16.17). These things are always due to ignorance and illusion. BG 1972 purports
- The word manisita is significant. Everyone is falsely or factually proud of his so-called learning. But the Lord says that the highest perfectional stage of learning is to know Him and His abode, devoid of all illusion

- Under false complexity, the living beings under different categories of life become illusioned in different ways

- Vasudeva is the supreme cause of all causes. That is perfection of life. And our Krsna consciousness movement is trying to teach this knowledge to the world, the best welfare activities. They are all in illusion
- Vasudeva said, "Illusioned by the external energy, people generally do not utilize this advantage of the human form of life. Thus they miss the chance of eternal freedom and unnecessarily spoil the progress they have made after thousands of births"
- Vedic instructions are not subject to mistakes. The knowledge of the Vedas is knowledge received directly from God, and there is consequently no question of illusion, cheating, mistakes or imperfect senses

- We are all meant to join Him (God) and enjoy life with one transcendental interest and without any clash. That is the highest platform of spiritual interest, and as soon as one realizes this perfect form of oneness, there can be no question of illusion
- We are dancing according to the desire of the Supreme Personality of Godhead (Krsna), but out of ignorance and illusion we think we are independent of the supreme will
