BG 15.18, Purport: The word loke signifies "in the pauruṣa āgama (the smṛti scriptures)." As confirmed in the Nirukti dictionary, lokyate vedārtho 'nena: "The purpose of the Vedas is explained by the smṛti scriptures."

SB 3.31.5, Purport: Restrictions and precautions to be taken by the pregnant mother, as enunciated in the smṛti scriptures of Vedic literature, are very useful.
SB Canto 7
SB 7.11.7, Purport: The smṛti, the scriptures following the principles of Vedic knowledge, are considered the evidence of Vedic principles. There are twenty different types of scripture for following religious principles, and among them the scriptures of Manu and Yājñavalkya are considered to be all-pervading authorities. In the Yājñavalkya-smṛti it is said:
- śruti-smṛti-sadācāraḥ
- svasya ca priyam ātmanaḥ
- samyak saṅkalpajaḥ kāmo
- dharma-mūlam idaṁ smṛtam

CC Madhya 6.48, Purport: According to the smṛti scriptures, a sannyāsī should not expect anything from anyone, nor should he consider himself identical with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
